Tom Murphy - Pastor

Tom and his wife, Carol Ann, moved from Seattle in 2002 to be part of Grants Pass Community Church. Tom has been involved with The Living Word Fellowship since 1967, and he has served in a pastoral capacity since 1993. Tom serves on the board of directors and is the corporate secretary of the church. He also manages the accounting, administrative, communications, and lending library teams.

Tom worked for twenty years as a civil servant with the United States Army Corps of Engineers. He also served in the Air Force as a meteorologist. He retired as a lieutenant colonel in 1982.

Tom has a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics from the University of Maine (1961), a Bachelor of Science degree in atmospherics science from the University of Washington (1963) and a Master of Science degree in meteorology from the University of Utah (1970).
